MEKONG OPPORTUNITIES:
Media workshop on climate and water security: Sept in Myanmar, from SEI for journalists and writers on understanding and reporting about climate change and water insecurity issues in the Mekong and Ayeyarwady/Chindwin River Basins. Apply by Sept 15.
Cross-border reporting grants: Society for Environmental Journalists’ fund supports environmental news development and dissemination with preference to international reporting partnerships. A good chance for Mekong journalists to team up! Grants up to $5000, application deadline November 15.
Grants for energy and climate journalism beyond borders: Another chance for Mekong journalists to collaborate, through the Clean Energy Wire. Deadline Sept. 15.
Mongabay environmental reporting opportunities: Mongabay is still accepting pitches for stories on a variety of issues related to the Mekong region and Asia:
